About Beatport LINK

Beatport LINK is a premium streaming and cloud locker service which allows the Beatport repertoire to be played directly from popular DJ software and hardware applications under a subscription model.

Beatport’s purchase of Pulselocker early in 2018, paved the way for the company to seamlessly integrate its store into DJ performance software, enabling DJs to easily access a massive catalogue of music. The first integrations of the Beatport LINK product with leading DJ performance software applications will be completed in the coming months…

Beatsource LINK [is] a subscription service that allows music to be played directly into performance software and stored in offline mode via the company’s proprietary locker technology.

Beatport LINK Subscriptions and Royalties

Beatport offers several tiers of the LINK service. Like the Beatport Download store, LINK is presented as a premium product aimed at professional users and this is reflected in the subscription cost.

Label royalties are calculated on a pro-rata revenue-share basis. Revenue generated from monthly subscriptions is split between Beatport and rights-holders. Each label receives a proportion of that revenue based on their share of the overall plays made during the month. This is a very similar model to many other subscription streaming services.
