In order to fulfil a range of marketing opportunities & priority pitching for promotional placements we advise all releases to be complete & approved for delivery 4 weeks ahead of release date. With a 4 week minimum lead time also ensures stores have enough time to ingest and publish releases in line with the chosen release date. It is possible to rush through releases for immediate ingestion however you may forgo any marketing & pitching activities, which may hinder the performance of the release.
Once delivered to iTunes/Apple music, content can be ingested within 24-48 hours (some releases may take up to 5 days depending on quality control checkpoints).
Spotify recommend new releases should be delivered at least 5 days before the release date and any metadata/asset updates to be delivered 2 days in advance to allow enough time for ingestion.
